Design Engineer - Switchgear

We are currently hiring for the position of Design Engineer – LV & MV Switchgear for one of our clients in Kuwait.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop LV & MV switchgear panels in compliance with IEC/BS standards.
• Prepare General Arrangement (GA) drawings, Single Line Diagrams (SLD), wiring diagrams, and Bill of Materials (BOM).
• Coordinate closely with production, procurement, and project teams for smooth execution.
• Ensure all designs meet client specifications and project requirements.
• Provide support during testing, FAT (Factory Acceptance Test), and preparation of technical documentation.

Requirements

• Minimum 4+ years of relevant experience in LV & MV Switchgear design is mandatory.
• Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD and/or EPLAN.
• Good understanding of LV & MV switchgear components and panel design.
• Sound knowledge of IEC standards and electrical engineering practices.
• Ability to perform technical calculations and component selection.
• Strong coordination and problem-solving skills.

Candidates with hands-on switchgear industry experience and immediate availability will be preferred.
