We are seeking an inspirational, energetic and highly skilled leader to build on TES’s proud sporting tradition and to develop an ambitious, cohesive and competitive whole‑school PE and sports programme.

The Head of Physical Education will lead PE across KS1–KS4, oversee the school’s extensive fixture programme, coach multiple teams, and promote a culture where sport, competition, teamwork and physical wellbeing thrive. Working closely with the Leadership Team, you will bring clarity of vision, exceptional organisational skills, and a passion for helping young people reach their full potential through sport.

Our ambition is for a PE department that upholds academic rigour, nurtures talent, and provides outstanding opportunities in swimming, team sports, athletics, and co‑curricular activities.

The successful applicant will also be expected to:

Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills, working collaboratively with colleagues across all phases, as well as with parents and support staff, to ensure a highly tailored and supportive learning environment for every pupil.
Uphold and actively promote the school’s core values —Respect, Integrity, Confidence, Positivity and Empathy—as outlined in the TES Vision and Values framework.
Show an unwavering commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing, ensuring full compliance with TES safeguarding procedures and modelling the highest standards of care, conduct and professionalism.
Set consistently high expectations for pupils and staff, inspiring, motivating and challenging students to achieve excellence in sport, physical fitness and personal development.
Lead and contribute to the school’s Extra‑Curricular Activities (ECA) programme , ensuring PE staff deliver high‑quality activities, and personally running at least two of the three annual activity blocks in alignment with the school’s ECA calendar.
Take personal responsibility for ongoing professional reflection, evaluating and refining your own practice as both a teacher and a leader, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement within the PE department.

The successful applicant will join our team for the start of the 2026/2027 academic year.

Female applicants: please note an important point regarding residency and sponsorship in Kuwait. Currently, women are not permitted to sponsor dependents. This means you would not be able to sponsor a husband or children for residency in Kuwait.

Conversely, a husband could also explore employment opportunities in Kuwait, and if successful, he would be able to obtain his own residency and then sponsor children.
