Overview

Employee will be part of the Deployment Pool and support deployments to various CONUS/OCONUS locations. This role works in an Aircraft Ground Equipment (AGE) shop within a medium to large-sized military aircraft organization.

Responsibilities

Maintain external fuel and grounding systems.
Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on GSE.
Inspect, test, and operate GSE to determine equipment serviceability.
Service equipment with fuel, oil, water, coolant, hydraulic fluid, refrigerant, and compressed air.
Diagnose mechanical and electronic circuitry malfunctions using visual, auditory senses, test equipment, and technical publications.
Disassemble and assemble malfunctioning basic GSE accessories and components; remove, disassemble, repair, clean, treat for corrosion, assemble, and reinstall GSE components and accessories.
Stencil and mark GSE in accordance with technical publications.
Store, handle, label, use, and dispose of hazardous materials and waste in accordance with state, local, and federal environmental standards and regulations.
Prepare GSE for storage and mobility deployment.
Operate, clean, inspect, and service GSE towing vehicles.
Assist in maintaining vehicle records and update paper and electronic equipment records.
Provide dispatch service for GSE, including positioning equipment to support aircraft maintenance and flying operations.
Practice good housekeeping, tool control, Foreign Object Damage prevention, and safety at all times.
Perform all other duties as assigned or requested.

Required Qualifications

High School Diploma or completion of relevant military and/or vocational technical school curriculum.
Minimum of one-year actual AGE maintenance experience.
Qualified with most basic types and uses of AGE equipment.
Familiar with diesel engine maintenance and repair, and HVAC maintenance and repair at the basic level.
Able to perform Increment Monitor duties to include equipment/cargo preparation, documentation, pallet build-up, and hazardous cargo.
Able to inspect, repair, and operate ground support and auxiliary equipment.
Achieve a passing grade in all required courses/certifications for continued employment.
Meet all OCONUS deployment criteria, including pre‑deployment medical screening.
Deploy to forward locations (other countries) as directed by the Government.
Lift, carry and/or wear Military Issued Equipment in excess of 50 pounds for extended periods.
Speak, read, write, and understand English.
Submit updated SF‑86 within 30 days of hire start date.
Have an Active Secret US Government Clearance within the last 12 months; must maintain required DoD security clearance.
Actively maintain a current/active State Issued Driver’s License and valid flight‑line Government Driver’s License.
Hold a valid U.S. Passport with at least two years remaining and at least two facing pairs (four total) of blank Visa pages.
Fully COVID‑19 vaccinated with booster.

Preferred Qualifications

Associate degree in a relevant career field.
RPA Deployment experience.
Prior experience as a Defense Contractor.
Vehicle Operator Training.
AGE Mechanic experience within the last 10 years.
